| Knit Knook is a cozy and welcoming shop located in the heart of Downtown Morehead City, NC. The shop was opened in April of 2018. The owner, Lisa Levey, wanted to open a shop where knitters could come and feel at home when they visit. Along with her friend and co-worker Karen Carden, they have created a gathering place for knitters of all skill levels. They make a great team and would love to have you come for a visit! | |||

| What is a Knit-A-Long? | |
| A Knit-A-Long (KAL for short) is when an unlimited number of people are making the same project during a specified period of time. Most times there are participants from all over the world sharing their progress virtually in blogs, in groups at their local yarn shop, or in community knitting groups. KALs are a great way to connect with others, ask and answer questions, and see many different ideas of color and yarn selections. | |
| Reserve Your Spot
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 - 4:00 Let’s get together again. Join us around our knitting table for open knitting. Bring your projects and spend some time with friends at the Knook! We have space for four people at a time so please call ahead to reserve your seat. |

| Meet Lisa |
A native of Atlanta, Lisa Levey relocated to the North Carolina coast in 2006 to make her home in Morehead City.
It is here that she fell in love with the art of interior design, and established Lisa Levey Interiors, Inc.
Within this ten-year period, Lisa stumbled into the art of knitting. By combining her passion for blending patterns and textures into her knitting projects and yarn selections, she developed an instant love for the craft.
Lisa's desire is for Knit Knook to be a cozy and whimsical gathering place for community to come together to learn, create, make new friends, share with old friends and above all to have fun.

| Meet Karen |
Karen moved to Havelock from VA Beach during the base closures in 1996. She has always had a love
of creating and working with her hands. Her mom taught her to knit when she was a child and from there
she went on to learn crochet, basket weaving, sewing, beading, cross stitch, and even had a career as
an aircraft mechanic. Knitting is her favorite craft and she loves to share her knowledge. Karen’s years
of knitting and crocheting experience are an invaluable asset to her superior teaching skills.
